Born in Barbados and raised on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Andrea Popo came to Houston in 2007 for its rich diversity and impressive job opportunities. Along the way, she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Florida State University and an associate degree in applied science from Houston Community College, and she worked for years as a teacher and a physical therapist assistant. What Andrea gained from those experiences was a special cultural sensitivity that taught her a new level of appreciation and respect for people of various backgrounds. She also developed her verbal and written communication skills.
That high level of communication is vital for a real estate professional. “I strive to be the best person I can and treat others the way I expect to be treated,” she says. “In my profession, many people depend on me to meet their needs because I am loyal, committed, honest, consistent, and reliable. I always give my all.” Andrea’s own journey has given her a personal understanding of the wants, needs, and concerns of her clients in making major, life-changing decisions, whether they’re selling a cherished house or coming to a new place and making it their home.
In her spare time, Andrea likes traveling to new places and encountering different cultures, writing, going to the beach, exercising, and spending days with her son and twin daughters.
